Starbucks Ashington
Welcome to Starbucks Ashington, a modern coffee haven nestled in the heart of Ashwood Business Park, NE63 0XF, United Kingdom. As a food reviewer, I am thrilled to delve into what this popular café offers, drawing a tapestry of experiences shared by loyal customers.
At Starbucks Ashington, the first thing that strikes you is the warm ambiance, characterized by its minimalist yet inviting decor. The café aims to be a go-to spot for coffee lovers and those seeking a delightful respite in their busy day. However, a few reviews paint a nuanced picture of the café’s service and cleanliness.
- Quality of Coffee: Many patrons, such as Gary Holmes, have celebrated the ever-improving quality of coffee. While some reviews note the occasional hiccup, like long wait times, the staff's knowledge and friendliness seem to shine through. Mike Miller, for instance, appreciated the personalized service as staff members, including Abby, Libby, and Kelly, offered recommendations that catered to his taste.
- Cleanliness: Cleanliness emerged as a recurring theme in the feedback. Charlie and Simon echoed concerns about the tidiness of tables and seating, hinting at a need for more rigorous post-customer cleaning. A spotless environment is essential in enhancing the overall experience, and it seems that there is room for improvement in this area.
- Food Offerings: On a more positive note, customer Liz Moseley raved about the porridge and fruit toast served, emphasizing the presence of vegetarian options, which is a commendable feature. With various dietary restrictions catered to, it’s clear that Starbucks Ashington is keen on offering something for everyone.
- Accessibility: The café is designed to be accessible with large double doors and a low access ramp, making it convenient for all visitors.
In conclusion, Starbucks Ashington presents a blend of delightful coffee experiences paired with the friendly vibe that the brand is known for. While there are some areas needing attention, such as service speed and cleanliness, the highlights of fresh food and attentive staff create a foundation that can inspire growth and improvement. Whether you’re a longtime customer or new to the area, this café promises a warm welcome—and perhaps, a cup of your new favorite brew.

I have visited the shop a number of times and have found service times to be very slow, having to wait the best part of half an hour for coffees.I’ve noted the floor needed a good clean, food waste on tables and seating as well as footprints on washable seats. The place needs more attention with regards to cleaning when customers leave and ready for the next customerToilets were dirty with no toilet rolls availableManagement need to raise standards considerably in my opinion

Customer since they opened. The coffee just gets better every time. I'd say it's an out of for cleanliness as sometimes there's the occasional thing on the floor or table. But I have seen the staff cleaning. The staff are brilliant. Really helpful and professional. Great to talk with them. The cafe itself is modern and simplistic. The only really bad thing about Starbucks is the price. Most of their food is mediocre at best, it certainly doesn't deserve the ridiculously high prices. Friends have specifically stayed away from Starbucks just because of the pricing. I tend not to eat there, just get and enjoy my coffee with free syrup :)Also, I tried the bag to go thing, where you get a bag of goodies at the end of the day. Cost £. and I didn't eat anything from it. Not one bite. It was vegan rubbish. And the small cakes tasted dry / stale. (girlfriend tried one). The cafe is disability friendly. All on the ground floor with accessible parking right outside the door, which is about two to three metres distance.Edit (few months later):A strange thing. The main door opens outward. It's a big, heavy glass door which isn't automatic. So, wheelchair users may find it difficult to operate.Another odd thing. The outdoor seating is place on the East Side of the building. So in the afternoon / evening, the sun hits the other (drive through) side. Which in turn can make the seating area colder. There's some large derelict land around Starbucks, on the carpark side. Which would make a really nice grass / seating areas.Parking: As this is a new Starbucks, it's taken a while to pick up. But more recently the carpark has been full to max capacity. They should consider expanding it as there is land available for that.Wheelchair accessibility: Everything seems accessible to my knowledge. I am registered disabled but I don't use a wheelchair.

I started frequenting this outlet of Starbucks recently. My favourite caffeine tipple is flat white, but I was finding this a bit too creamy and not to my taste. I relayed this to the staff team Abby, Libby and Kelly, and instead of shrugging their shoulder as many would do, they made recommendations based on my conveyed preferences. As a result, I tried an Americano and just loved it. This kind of proactivity and customer led focus is rare in the service industry this day and age, so Abby, Libby and Kelly deserve great credit, as do all the first class staff at this outlet, who make every visit a relaxing pleasure
